Alison Meehan is a children’s author and illustrator who believes that creativity can begin at any stage of life. After homeschooling her two children through graduation and later becoming a grandmother of two, Alison found herself newly inspired during a move to New York City in 2026.While exploring the natural beauty of Central Park, a story she first imagined years earlier—about two adventurous squirrels—finally came to life. Drawing on her background as an artist and former custom wedding cake designer, Alison taught herself illustration to bring her characters to the page in vibrant color.When she’s not creating, Alison enjoys spending time with her family, discovering new food and art around New York City, and dreaming up her next story.
